Bad news: A/C. Really need help

2 days left after i`ve installed used compressor, it knocked. Today i`ve removed it.. Result - metal dust in the oil((( My mechanic said that i MUST flush the whole system and compulsory replace with new dryer and expansion valve (and rebuilt compressor of course). The problem is... it costs more than my month wages..
Please, answer my questions - it may help me a lot..

1. Dryer and valve - is it interchangeable with other Subaru (what exactly)? Or i can flush it or use another or used?

2. Is it possible to do the flush by myself? If yes, how.. And what i need for it. If system consists of:

Compressor - needed to rebuilt
Hoses - flush
Radiator - flush
Dryer - replace
Valve - replace
Evaporator - flush

3 So i need only to flush radiator, hoses and evaporator, right?

4 Can i flush hoses with water under pressure?

5 Is it easy to just replace whole system with used in good condition for sure?

6 How to remove evaporator?

First, download the AC manual from here (chapter 23):

The receiver/drier is the same part as in many other Subarus and Nissans. For example Valeo part # 508957.

Will you use R12 or R134a juice? If you replace the expansion valve it is wise to get one calibrated to the correct refrigerant. For R134a Four Seasons part # is 38637.

I just paid 515 USD + shipping for a brand new 1996 OEM R134a compressor from Flatirons Subaru in Colorado. Part number 73011PA011 (or 73011PA010). This is 200 USD cheaper than the 1992 R12 one and comes with the correc PAG oil. PM me if you need a contact there.

You can flush all components with pure isopropanol, but naturally they need to come off..... the evaporator involves a little work .

Replace all O-rings with new one compatible with the juice you use and lube them with compressor oil.

Remember to add correct amount of correct oil in the system when recharging.
