Re: New '97 owner

The CD/radio must be quirky. I had ejected a CD without 1st stopping play and the radio didn't work then. It's ok after hitting stop on the CD, though. Sheesh.

I don't have the code reader but it looks like I will be going shopping for one. Any suggestions on what to get?

Do you have a code reader to pull the code?

Re: New '97 owner

It's been too long since I've used the factory CD player but that may be expected behaviour.

I don't have a vehicle with OBD-II so I don't have a code reader. I would assume anything will work to read the codes as long as it is OBD-II. They seem to start at $40 on ebay. I've never used any so I'm unable to provide a recommendation. Do you know anyone locally with one you can borrow?

I just came across a new deal at Princess Auto for a code reader:

Thanks! I stopped at PA on the way home and got one. Likely it's the same O2 code as my mechanic 'fixed' 2 days ago. Guess that I'd better learn where the O2 sensor is and have a shot myself.
