WOW

Hi everyone, I'm pretty sure not everyone on this site watches NASCAR. NASCARs big deal is the Daytona 500. Well today a young man who had his birthday yesterday. Number 20, won his second race at this level. It was an interesting race as the repaved track was all new and required a different driving strategy. So this one time a 20 YO newbie new about as much about this track as a lifer in NASCAR. And a real nice young man. Sometimes it works out. Take care, BOBB

Re: WOW

Good race, a bit boring at times with the paired racing but then exciting at others. Very cool to see the young guy win it. The 3rd lap salute/tribute was awesome.

Re: WOW

Good to see a Wood Brothers car back up front. I liked that the color scheme was styled after the Mercury in which David Pearson drove through the tri-oval grass to beat Richard Petty after their last-lap crash, in the late 70s.

Also good to see a true no-name driver win a NASCAR race, for a change.

I wonder if this win will bring in enough sponsorship interest to allow the Wood Bros. to add a few more races to their schedule for this year.
