Angry Horn started beeping after battery died

So I was working on my car when the battery started to die. I went to try and start it and there was not enough juice to kick it off. Just got the ol Click click click... Right after that, the horn started to beep.. 3 Short beeps and two long beeps, no lights flashing or anything, just the horn. Even after jumping it, it still beeps, Tryed the alarm override (close door, turn on parking lights, start car, turn off parking lights) and it still beeps. I disconnected the battery for 5 or 10 minutes, reconnected, and beeping started again. Any ideas?

disconnect the battery...Charge the battery ... and hook it up again... then immediately turn off the blinking push button switch for the security system!

Disconnect battery, put key in ignition and turn to "ON" position, then reconnect the battery. This tells the security system that it is a "legal" battery disconnection, and it won't flash the lights or set off the alarm.

Re: Horn started beeping after battery died

Mine did this the other night at like 2 in the morning and after about 4 minutes rushingly slid the igloo impreza over and jumped it and it went away. ****ing 10 degree weather has been doing odd things to my car lately... ugh!

Re: Horn started beeping after battery died

Thanks to all.. Since we got hit with 20 inches of 20 yesterday, it may be a while before I dig it out, uncover it and try your suggestions. I appreciate all the help and if any other ideas pop up (incase these choices don't work) I would love to hear them.

Re: Horn started beeping after battery died

My "beater" svx does this pretty offten. It'll randomly blow the horn, usually in the middle of the night. My nice svx never does it. I think it has something to do with the nice one being in the garage and the other being parked on the street in the cold.

It doesn't seem to have any correlation with the battery going flat, and I have come to pretty much ignore it.
