Oxygen sensors question
OK first of all forgive my lack of knowledge on this subject. I live in Florida and we don't have to get our cars inspected as some states do. I had my catalytic converter removed years ago and I have a Stebro exhaust system. Without my converter do I need two sensors in good working condition? From what I read one of them reads the exhaust for emissions only. I need to replace the left side one (code #37). Do you know what side sensor reads for the converter? Any feedback appreciated on this.

Re: Oxygen sensors question
Your O2 sensors give your ECU the final word on how well the fuel is being burned. Good working sensors (you have one for each cylinder bank, so both are needed) give you better gas mileage and will allow your engine to run better, henceforth they are not just to pass emissions, but to make your car run more efficiently.

Re: Oxygen sensors question
Thanks for the reply SoCal. I did have both codes thrown 32 and 37 awhile back and I switched them around. So far just code #37 has come back. I probably should replace both though. $100 each. Ouch! Thanks.
