Re: Turbo 1994 SVX on youtube

Sorry but a turbo "kit" that costs less than $1500 in parts is going up in smoke in 2 passes down the 1/4. I would love to buy a turbo alone for a kit for $1500. you get what you pay for.

Not to mention without larger injectors yada yada yada its going to burn up or run like totaly ass

I like people who take the leap but they have not looked before they did and have a lot of back-tracking to do in order to make it half decent.

Hrrmm...maybe I should have rephrased that dollar amount. Maybe I should not have mentioned it at all. Try not to hang on that dollar amount if you can help it. He did not elaborate on the details as for pricing and he didn't say it would cost someone else that much. Trying to be fair on this. I'll probably not say much more on the subject. Will just let the thread die off.
If I get up with him, maybe we can talk it over and I get get something put in the works. Won't say anything until things are what they are though. Good luck boosting...

Looked pretty intense. I would have like dit alot more if he had put stats in there and showed an actual video of the final product in action, but other than that it looked like fun

Not bashing the job... They got it done as far as I can see. The problem I see is poor planning and they will be continuosly back-tracking to fix what they skipped

yeah. gonna have to agree with Tom on this one. Poor planning ends up costing a LOT more than doing it right the first time.

but, major props and good luck to them. I want to see some more video of it!

Case and point... My stage 3 system. It worked, but I had to constantly work at it until I finally got it right. On top of that, there are always more improvements to create.

Re: Turbo 1994 SVX on youtube

holy cow. I doubt very much that works. There is way too much weld there, and it is MIG welded. You just cant MIG and up-pipe/header. Its going to crack.

If he did it with 1500 in parts that has got to be a chinese turbo, again they dont work well. I bought one and used a 60 trim wheel and rebuilt the bearing.s\ Also not flex section that I can see. I would highly doubt that it works. Why no video of him driving it? You cannot turbocharge any car properly for 1500 bux unless you get a lot of free parts.

Just my 2cents though
