Occasional Clunk
I have the occasional "Clunk" when taking off in 1st. It seems to happen either A.) when I am going uphill, or B.) if I start harder then usual.
Basically, right after I let the clutch out and start to accelerate. It's pretty hard, and only does it once. Not like a CV joint. I investigated all the linkage and gave the wheels a good shake while it was on jack-stands, it seems real solid. The struts are not leaking. |

Re: Occasional Clunk
Also you may want to check if there is a small piece of loose metal in the bottom of your tranny, whether original or 5 speed tranny a small piece of metal can jump up into the fluid on hard take offs and clunk in a gear or two, so be careful
