lol, nope. Sorry. The M+S is found on basically every all-season tire that has any possible use in the snow. Goodyear Eagle F1's don't have it, because if they touch mud, snow or even come close to ice, you instantly roll over and catch fire. Skip crash, simply explode.

Treadwear 400 is good, but not exceptional. Traction and temperature A ratings put it in the mid-performance range.

Without seeing a picture of the tread I'd say it's an all-season tire geared more toward summer performance. Any vehicle will benefit from having a set of snow tires in temperatures below 7 degrees C (40-ish F). Below this temperature the rubber compound of all seasons stiffens. Summer tires are rock hard and useless.

Get a picture of the tread and I can give you my opinion of it's winter usefulness.
I'll take a picture as soon as I can. I really don't get too much snow here so I am really interested in an all season tire.

All the M+S means is that it has a certain ratio of tread vs open space. It is a joke really. There are Z rated summer tires that qualify.

well down this part of the world it is soon to be deemed illegal to sell a car with snow tyres fitted, as they have been found to have caused more accidents than they have prevented!! our local AA found that Queenstown lakes area was the only area of NZ possibly requiring snow tryes for maybe 3days a year!! but saying that they now have a law in that distirct that requires all roadgoing vechiles to carry snowchains on them( $400 instant fine or impounded ) if you break that law !! no warnings no letoffs

Thumbs up

if it's an old tire the rubber is probably no good. the tread blocks appear all season but there is no center channel which means it could ride up on the snow. i'de wait until it snows and test them out, but if money is no object i would run summer and snow/ice tires: pirelli pzero 245/50zr17 summer and bridgestone ws50 225/55qr17 winter. nice wheels btw. almost like my enkeis.

Eh, good enough. Like porschekiller said, the two solid center bars will tend to hold snow/slush in that center grouve, but the well spaced tread blocks along the shoulders should do the job. I'd say you won't have any trouble in a non-crazy winter as long as you don't get yourself into any somewhat impossible situations.

Thank all of you for the info and your "humble" opinions. I will check them out this winter. Like I said before, our winters here in Queens, NY are really not that bad so I really only need a good "all season" tire. Thanks again for all your inputs.
