Next I will put an aftermarket resonator in there and a flowmaster muffler.
I fixed it quick cuz I just couldn't stand the darn embarrassing rattle.
Mine was the resonator too, because I had already had it on the ramps a few times and had all shields and junctions tight and rattle-free.

An aftermarket resonator sounds like a good idea. If it happens my current car I will open up the resonator and fix it.

OK. I finally had a chance to climb under there and found that one bolt that was tight, was not tightened all the way down. I tried to tighten it and found out that the reason it wasn't all the way in was because it was stripped. I tried to find one of these bolts at 2 different auto stores and hardware stores but could not find the right size. Does anyone here have some laying around that I can purchase? Now just to make sure I am looking at the right piece, you say the heat shield is above the exhaust system/cat and is mounted to the undercarriage of the car approx in the middle of the car, correct? Again, any extra bolts around?
