Driver's seat lever

I went to tilt my driver seat forward by pulling the lever but it didn't move. I have the seat back off and found out that one of the 2 cables that releases the seat is broken (right one). I have no idea how to get the leather "boot" off at the bottom right of the seat back in order to change the cable.

Also (coincidence?) my lumbar adjustment lever is very loose between the low and medium positions.

Any quick help on these problems would be greatly appreciated.

I'm fiercely battling the Meet Monster right now and I think we need to stick together if we are to survive!

I have the same problem, not sure which is broken, however, i do know that the Subaru cable is just around $300 I found that out..and decided to just leave it

I'm having a dealer get me a price on it right now.

I've spent much less on clutch cables.

If worse comes to worse, you may be able to go to your local bicycle shop and "improvise."

What I was actually hoping was that someone with a parts car would be willing to sell me one of theirs at a reasonable price. I know you are out there...I can hear the ratchets clicking.

No, the saying is "The truth is out there." It doesn't say anything about seat cables.
