92's? Why so many of them?

Just checked Craigslist in the Seattle (Washington) area and there's 11 92's for sale currently. The 12th one sold a few days ago & all have been listed within the last week. Were the numbers of 92's that much higher than succeeding years to where that's almost all I see in the ads? Got me curious for sure, you'd think maybe a 94, 96, something aside from jus 92's in all those listings but nope, just 92's?

The following production numbers for the USA may answer your question. I'm not sure if that includes Canada.

1992 5280 (1513 of those were actually produced in 1991)
1993 3859
1994 1666
1995 1801
1996 1111
1997 640
Total: 14,257

I'm not sure why there are so many 92 SVXi out there. Possibly because that was the first year and I think the least expensive of all the years. Other than that all I can provide is a link to a run down of production #s.

Enjoy!

Not only are there more '92s, but they're the oldest, and people are letting them go as troubles arise with increasing frequency.

Eleven for sale in Seattle? That likely half the entire fleet of SVXs on the road in the metro Atlanta area.

Your figures are misleading and quote sales numbers, not production numbers, as you claim. There were only 301 SVXs produced for the US market in 1993. The rest were leftover 1992 models.

All 1993 SVXs were 25th Anniversary LS-L models, in Barcelona Red with beige leather interior.

I don't know what your particular problem is, man, but lighten up. Somebody posted information. That information was incorrect, so I helped out. What's so offensive about that?

Three SVXs offered on AutoTrader are within 300 miles of my zip code: One 1992 ("good bags runs and drives $2200"), a '94, and a '95.

And now there are 12 again. Looking like Seattle area is the hub of the 92 SVX universe! But I can't indulge so hopefully there's a dozen buyers out there.
