Doing tune up and other things
I was wondering where everyone got their parts. I priced my "list" out at Advanced for sparkplugs, fuel filter, upper&lower radiator hose, AC belt, and rear seal for the transmission but was really wondering on your experiences with Advanced, Autozone, Napa are local stores on small items such as these.
Thanks Damian

Napa is great for parts, I got my alternator from them.
Shucks (Checker where you live) has the steel radiator hoses that I have but it's the 24'' you'll have to cut. Might as well get the 12'' online. I get my belts from a local place but Shucks is good for belts, plugs, lights, filters, cleaning supplies, whatever. When I was in Phoenix Atuozone had the best price on Optima batteries about 4 years ago. Really it depends on your area and local management more than anything.

Liberty Subaru from New Jersey gives discounts to SVX forum members. I don't know if they ship. Ask for Jason.

I only buy Subaru-branded parts if there's no aftermarket equivalent available at O'Reilly's or NAPA.

I prefer to go to Advanced. Autozone rapes on their prices. Napa... maby

Shopping at Napa
Your best off not giving them the make/model but either getting the manufacturer # of the part (like an oil seal or a belt) and bringing it in. I needed to get some front cam seals for my car but they couldn't find them. I brought the part # to them and they got me all my seals for like $12 as compared to Subaruparts.com for $45plus shipping. Just a bit of advice

Subaruparts.com = SubaruSlow shipping! Over two weeks and still waiting for bolts that were in stock. They also claim to ship within a few days of order. Go to someone local if you need something quick.
