Incredible Racing Video: The Nürburgring
For the uninitiated, the Nürburgring in Germany is considered one of the most challenging race tracks in the world. It is 13 miles long with 147 corners.
F1, German touring car series, you name it have all raced there. Today, you can pay 16 Euros ($20.00) you can take your street car, motorcycle, big wheel or whatever and run the 13 mile circuit. A fast lap time in a street car is 10 minutes. A sub-10 minute lap time is incredible! Now, try doing a 10 minute lap time in... a PANEL VAN!! I love the fact that Porsches and big motorcycles are being passed by this thing, driven by a girl who knows this track better than any other person  We all knew that Ford is big in racing, but this? That's a great video featuring the German Touring Car driver Sabine. She's logged more than 15,000 laps around the 'ring in her lifetime.

Not bad for a 37 year old. Sabine Schmitz was a former professional racing driver for BMW and Masarati.
Here is a recent photo of her and the Masarati team, Sabine Schmitz is the one on the right.  .
