Subaru Select Diagnostics
I have been advised that this unit will diagnose shoulder belt retractor error codes on my '92: is there anybody who has not had this to be the case? I'm also told this was a very high frequency warranty problem: not for me!
Never had a single problem with them for the 1st 120K miles.... Regards! Norm

Auto seat belts have never been a huge problem on any Subaru esp. when they were new.

Seat belts
My passenger side retractor works perfectly, while my driver's side retractor has a mind of its own. I've had the common delay in activation with th door open and key off, but lately it doesn't work at all. Doesn't throw a code either. I've searched the posts and it looks like the retractor 'computer'. Can it be fixed or does anyone have one for sale?

Well, I found out...
...the hard way (a visit to the Dealer) that Subaru Select DOES NOT diagnose/display these codes.
They printed out copies of the relevant Service Manual pages, though... I had another reason (or two) to visit the Dealership, anyway, so, no harm done. (Is my punctuation correct?) We'll see... Cheers! & HNY!
