High RPM's
For some reason my RPM's have been at about 2000 when I put my car in park or neutral and about 1500 in drive. Earlier today i was idleing at about 42 mph. Any suggestions?

TPS? .....sometimes when i put my car in park it idles at 1000....i give it some gas..needle jumps and goes back down to normal idling.

Same here, sometimes it will idle high for a few seconds and go back to normal but if not a little press on the gas usually does it

I can drive accross town and when i stop at a light i put it in neutral and it shoots back up to 2000 rpms.

Almost sounds like your "choke" is staying on.

If you adjusted your TPS or IAC then it may take a few starts before normal idle returns.
Do you have a 5spd?

Didnt touch anything. It just started out of nowhere. I have an automatic.

For the past 3 days now whenever i put my car in park the rpms stay just a tad bit below the line for 1000. It goes back down to normal idle after about 5 or 6 minutes. This is with ECON on with the temp set at 80...setting to HI. Happens with econ off too i think.

Well its going to the shop now because i went out and started it and left it in park for about 30 sec and the rms were going 1000-1500-1000-1500 and so on. The check engine light came on so i turned it off and started up and it didnt do it so I rode around the block, then put it in park and it did it again. it does it in neutral too.
