an engine hunting for an idle is also a sign of a bad tps or a dirty one. check the voltage on the tps and make sure it is right at idle. It could have been knocked loose or adjusted during the trans swap.

ok so i check out the t-body and cleaned the crap out of it and i still get the shaking of the car at ilde. and take awail when i give it light gas to acce. until it hit 2700 rpm and the it screams. so some one was telling me about the dead valve i just wanna know alittle more about this. like i said in my last post none of this stuff happen until i got it back from the tranny shop. i have been told by many pepole that this engine is like a cumming turbo i dont need a rebuil till like 300,000 miles

i said tps. throttle positioning sensor. check the voltage, i think it should be at 5v for idle speed. if it is off, you will need to replace or clean it. whatever is nessecary.

0.5v @idle. TPS usually won't have anything to do with the other issues however. Maybe the air snorkel between the MAF and t-body were damaged with the trans r&r, allowing it suck unmetered air into the engine. Can't hurt to take a couple minutes and check it and the other hoses before the t-body for leaks. Pay particular attention to possible cracks in convoluted areas.
