Significant Technical Input Registered SVX
There are 2 tranny lines that run to the radiator on the drivers side about were the axles come out that have a rubber hose with hose clamps right there, so mabe a clamp came loose, or the rubber hose blew..

It'd be a cheap fix if this was the case...and it's not the unusuall for that to happen...

That's exactly what I was thinking as well. From doing my 4.11 swap, I remember Mike (Rufus) cutting those lines before we removed the trans and they were right above the front axles.

Thanks for the heads-up... I think I am going to call the guy back today and see if he'll let me look at it again... I could only look under the car yesterday because after it "died" he left it in a parking lot and I went down yesterday by myself, but it was locked, and I couldn't open the hood... Does anyone know where the best place to get a visual on those lines would be? (under the drivers' side? Right hand side under hood?)

You can see them from the top or bottom, just to the outside of the starter motor....probably easier to pick them out from underneath, but can be seen from above too...
