Question seat backs

I'm about to buy a SVX that has the back of its front seats in very poor condition - lots of puncture holes in the leatherette.

Want to fix them - has anybody tried recovering them in the past? If so was it a painful experiece?

Failing that has anyone out there got any seat backs from a 'breaking' car? Will it be a pain to swap them?

Welcome Flybynight,
I have also them in bad condition, previous owner had a realy big dog and imagine how look my backs of front seats...
I have to buy new shocks, pads and rotors and than I will try to find the way how to replace them. If anybody done it please let us know.
