California members - Page 13

I've been trying for months to get a California meet set up. I could host it at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. I've posted this several times before, but I only got two or three responses. Where are you guys? Let me know.

IF (and I mean IF) I ever relocate to the Bay area, I will be up for some SVX events. Check out www.nwsvx.com and look at Past Events. I started this club and a good portion of the events were organized by me. Not saying I would ever try to do the same again though, just saying I enjoy getting together.

OK, if Los Angeles and the Petersen Museum is too far for some, anywhere in So Cal or Central Coast would work. In Alfa Romeo Club we have wine country tours that go up to the SLO area, or to San Diego. I'd like to put something together here that would be more than just getting together, looking at our cars, saying "nice," and then going away. The Museum, a nice driving tour of the coast, and a dinner at some place with good food and decent atmosphere would be a good beginning. We could do the wine country as well. If people would chime in with ideas, I'd like it a lot.

I have forty of those, including 2 SVXii, and it may be another couple years before I can address the problem

I went with my daughter this afternoon to help her pick up a new drafting table for her classwork. (She's finishing a major in interior design at Cal State Northridge.) On the way home, she said to me, "do you want to see that other SVX in the neighborhood?" Of course I did. And sure enough, about half way between the art supply store and our house, there was a teal, in somewhat beat up condition. I will investigate further another day. It is sitting at the curb in a fairly affluent neighborhood, and is missing the right front corner lights and has a couple of dents. One of my neighbors said she saw another pearlie like mine at the shop that works on her elderly Cadillac, but she has been unable to provide me with more information. Between Ryu, NomakeWan, SirNate and two non-members I know of, that should be enough for a decent meet.
I'll come up north if there's going to be a get together there, but it would be nice to get together in my own back yard.

i be interested in a meet in SoCal to see what type on mods everyone has. i am interested in modifying my 97 svx to generate more horsepower.

Where in SoCal are you?
