OBD2 Simulator

Could one stick one of these under the dash and wire it to the OBD2 port to simulate an OBD2 ECU with no DTCs? You know, if one wanted to swap out the OBD2 ECU for a tunable ECU in an OBD2 car........

Re: OBD2 Simulator

I have also read that newer Subaru ECUs are programmable. Does anyone know if any of the EZ30 or 3.6R ECUs are programmable? If so would it be possible to adapt them to run a modified EG33?

Re: OBD2 Simulator

The newer ecu's are capable of being reflashed. Though, regretfully they are not interchangeable with our cars. The wiring, censors and timing are completely different. Hate to say it, its a standalone ecu swap for the OBDII cars and a chip for the OBDI cars. Thats all we got
