Fuel line confusion

Hello,

So, I've briefly covered the work I've been doing on my SVX, and one of the things I had to fix was a fuel leak. After fixing that leak, the car wouldn't start. I actually replaced an entire section of all three lines. Now the car won't start.

After talking to a friend of mine, I'm pretty sure that I have the fuel lines connected incorrectly. I understand, looking at the service manual diagrams, the lines coming out of the tank. What I don't seem to understand is which line is which after that. Where the lines go through the floor of the car, can anybody tell me which line is which? The lines seem to take some twists throughout the car, and I don't think I understand the diagrams in the service manual well.

Thanks!

Re: Fuel line confusion

In the engine bay, the vent line is slightly different size than the supply and return line. Not sure if that is true throughout the rest of the car? If so, just swap the other two.

To verify if that is your issue; Under the hood, remove the line coming from the filter and prime the pump, you should be able to figure out if you have things plumbed right.

Re: Fuel line confusion

Where the lines go through the floor of the car, two are 5/16 and one is 1/4. I believe the 1/4 is the vent line, since it has the rollover valve on it.

Re: Fuel line confusion

That would match the way they are under the hood.

Re: Fuel line confusion

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I connected the supply to the evap line. When I get the time, I'll check it out.
