Our new 'economy' car

Picked up a new old car a few weeks ago. A guy sold it to me for under crusher price, cause he knew I would not crush it.
A 1951 Chrysler Crown Imperial 4 door! I put the boys on it with the sandpaper to change the look. It was sprayed with red oxide rattle-cans and had runs everywhere, plus moss growing on the 'north' side.
Hemi was pulled 8 years ago and left it for dead.
I couldn't stand seeing it sink anymore.
The farm is the 21st century version of 'Boys Town'. I have 2 19 year old young men living there learning a trade and 'responsibility'. The latter is resisting, but they are good boys. In the Pic is Randy. He is my right hand. The other is Leo. He's Randy's right hand. Together we get stuff done.

Nice car Jerry. Here is my new restoration project. Yes, it is a rust bucket now but I am gonna turn it into a real lady when finished.

Re: Our new 'economy' car

I had a 1950 imperial. mine had a small Hemi in it and a clutch flight tranny . U used a clutch to put it in drive . It did really good burn outs . I was only 16 at the time and I was going to drop the motor in my 1949 Plymouth Club Coupe ... both went to the bone yard on the same truck ... Big dreams small wallet<LOL>

This one had the Hemi/ fluid drive pulled. I have a 400 big block for it.
I'm pulling it out of a 52 Plymouth. I have a 318 for the Plymouth that will fit better. The Imperial has so much room that the 318 would get 'lost'.
I only bought this car to keep it out of the crusher. It is for sale resonable.
I 'raided' the fund for a new top for my 61 Ford to buy it.
