Cleaning/De-Carbonizing Exhaust Manifold?
I am getting a complete new exhaust and would like to clean up the exhaust manifolds a bit. For anyone in the know, what has worked best for you? My svx is a 92 with about 140k miles so i can only assume there is a great deal of carbon buildup in interior of the manifold. I've thought of taking the manifolds to a machine shop and having them hot tanked...would this clean them up? Any other options to remove the carbon build up on the interior and rust on the outside? Please let me know, thank you!

Re: Cleaning/De-Carbonizing Exhaust Manifold?
For cleaning the outside get them sand blasted. For cleaning the inside probably a flap wheel on a flexible drill extension.
