Post building engines and turboing 2 svx's woot woot!

Ok so as I've illuded to in a few other threads, the time has come that my dreams will become a reality. Myself and another member will be starting on building two svx's and turboing them, with end result goals upwards of 500 hp in the end. So the two svx's here's what the plan is parts wise:

Johnybeas 1992 SVX LS-L
Tranny: 02 wrx 5mt (already installed) built with ppg group N rally gears
ECU: Hydra Nemisis II (already installed)

Superru 199? SVX
Tranny: STi 6mt
ECU: Hydra Nemesis II

The rest of the parts we will prob both do most are decided but some are still up in the air a few more months of research saving and rouning up parts to go still but here's the list as of today...

Turbo parts

Turbo: garrett gt4088r
Blow off valve:hks ssq
Boost controler: aem
Waistgate: tial 38mm
Intercooler: perrin stealth
Muffler: flowmaster 80 series 3in. One or two?
Catalitic converter: flowmaster or magnaflow?
Piping: 2 1/2 in. Downpipe 3in. Up pipe 3in equal length headers, 3 in. turbo back exhaust. 3 1/2 in tips or bigger

Engine build parts

Spark plugs: ngk
Injectors: rc 1000cc
Fuel pump: denso 300lph
Cams: custom
Rods: eagle h-rods
Pistons, rings, and pins: cp pistons 8.5:1
Bearings: acl race bearings
Spacers: outlaw engineering phenolic spacers
Head bolts and studs: arp
Head gasket: cometic

Good luck guys. I was gunna say I have some bearings I could sell you, but if you split parts with each other you won't have any short or left over.

contemplating RC Engineering 1000cc injectors because they are a few bucks cheaper than the 550cc STi ones from Subaru after my discount.

Re: building engines and turboing 2 svx's woot woot!

I decided not to buy the Outlaw spacers, because I have questions about how much good they will do in a forced induction application.

And I'm for sure buying my injectors from these guys, check their prices http://www.deatschwerks.com/catalog/

Re: building engines and turboing 2 svx's woot woot!

phenolic spacers are debated.
i considered going with them but my tuner says they are prone to leak.

deatschwerk injectors are the common injectors that subaru guys use for bigger turbo applications as well.
a new set of injectors is getting really popular as well. id1000, id2000 and id2200. dont remember the manufacturer of these. but a lot of guys are dropping deatschwerks to go over to these now

as for a boost controller. i'm using a prodrive. the grimmspeed one is getting really popular right now.

Re: building engines and turboing 2 svx's woot woot!

I'm a big fan of progression. I would turbocharge the car first on the stock engine, to be sure you have all the kinks worked out. Then you can move on to building the engine.

I'd probably have done that if my car ran when I got it, but it needed a rebuild anyway.

All of them are the same, what quality difference you guys think is there?

Check on Nasioc, a lot of people sell brand new parts for cheaper than vendors, especially nowadays...

Re: building engines and turboing 2 svx's woot woot!

In talking with some of the local Subie guys they suggested that possibly with that much horsepower that the walbro 255lph wouldn't be enough fuel and that we'd be starving the motor, thoughts??
