OP, do a general tune-up on the car... plugs, etc.. (or at least inspect them)
To be exact its an Apex'i SAFC. That will help you look it up.

Super AFC (Air Fuel Controller). Lets you adjust your AFRs. If you're a good tuner and know what you're doing, it has its uses on a budget build. If noob settings are applied though, motors will grenade. Guess what usually happens SVXs already run pretty lean from what I've read, you think it's been set to run any leaner than stock?

Re: My SVx is not as fast as I thought....

Well I dont know what the current settings are right now. My friend with a similar unit said that it has been tuned somewhat. I would like to pull it out and see how the car runs without it, but I am afraid of unknowingly damaging the car. The car is a Black 94 Svx LSI. Can I use any kind of MAF cleaner or is there a special cleaner?

No, I never owned that car. I just drove it a couple times. It was the first SVX I drove with a manual swap. Tom put a lot of time into that car when he had it.

Re: My SVx is not as fast as I thought....

That car already had ECUTune Stage 2 and a z32 Maf I thought...

It already has a bunch of work done to it including cams, Koni/GC, Exhaust... If the engine is still the same.

Tom

You beat me to it.....I immediately found myself thinking "hey, I think that's Tom's old car" There is a dyno plot for this car floating around the network. I want to say it put out ~190 WHp (?)

Mike,
I checked my SVX dyno spread sheet, and I've got that this car has the 5 spd swap, Delta intake cams, and the SFC-II tune. No ECUTune chip.
191.7 WHp.

What tranny is in that car? ~4000 RPM at 85-ish MPH? Pretty high wound, stock is around 28-2900 at that speed.
