Need help finding an oil leak.
Now that I've got the other problems fixed, I've had a persistent oil leak since I got the car. Only problem is that now it seems to be a bit worse. I've changed the valve cover seals, one of which was leaking, and still it leaks. I've been using Mobile Clean 5000 Dino Oil the whole time I've had the car.
The drips come off of the front crossmember (I think that's the correct name. The beam in front of the steering rack. And no matter how often I clean it up the oil pan, oil filter, crossmember, and steering rack get all covered in a film of oil quickly thereafter. Could the oil pan be leaking where it meets the engine? I've also heard something about a rear seal, but I don't know what that is. I'm pretty sure it's engine oil. It looks just like engine oil if I dab the drops up on a paper towel, and doesn't smell like gear oil. There have been a few red tinges, but I had ATF spewing all over the place just the other day so I think it's just residual stuff dripping off. 95% of it looks like engine oil. As always, any help is appreciated. -Matthew

Re: Need help finding an oil leak.
Sounds like either the rear main or the oil seperator plate. To get to either of them you either need to pull the engine or the trans.
