Where do I get Redline ATF and how much

Planning to have my tranny flushed when I put a cooler on and would like to use Redline ATF. I will need Dextron II right? How much will I need? Capacity is about 10 quarts right but with the flush how much more will it take? Finally anybody have a good source for the stuff? Summit Racing which is where I'll probably get the cooler from has it for $7.95 a quart and it looks like shipping is included. Anybody find a cheaper source.

Thanks a zillion.

benebob,
That seems to be the going price:

Here's a price of 7.25. Don't know if that includes shipping:

If you do a full flush, it'll take out all the bad oil and replace with good oil. If you just do a drain and fill, you'll drop 6 quarts, leaving 4 quarts in the case. If you just do a drain and fill, I wouldn't recommend mixing your synth with your standard. I'd find a shop that did T-Tech or similar flushing. Penske shops use the Snap-On equivalent of T-tech and they're usually less expensive.

Penske shops? Is there really someplace I can send all these orphaned )$*^%*^%$ ...uh...customers? I was under the impression that Roger saw K-Mart writing on the wall and bailed before they did.

Question which redline is good?

I replaced the tranny oil with Redline "Synthetic High
Temperature ATF" which is remomended for Dex III applications. I choose this one over redline's "Synthetic Dex II ATF" since it says it's for high temp applicatiosn and our trannys do generate a good amount of heat.. i have about 200 - 300 miles so far on that oil..

was this a good option?
(i should have asked this prior to have it changed)

I wouldn't mind paying $7.95 a container ($12 in Canada). The only place I know (so far) here wants to sell the stuff for $20 per container. I ended up just using regular ATF instead and put in 7 containers during the change. Unfortunately I can't justify $140 + taxes (14%) just for tranny oil.

Where I had the tranny cooler installed, they charged me around $10CDN/Litre of Red Line Synthetic ATF.

But for sure, Amsoil is around that mark too.

I just don't see the need. Synthetic ATF yes, but $10+ per quart, no way! Your money would be better spent on a tranny temp gauge and *slightly* more frequent fluid changes.
