Pre-Reading WV Mini-Meet & Convoy

I guess we should have looked a little closer at the flight schedule......

We (meaning TOM) have invited a half dozen or so SVXers to hang out at our house on Thursday evening after we pick up Earl at the airport and then we would all leave together on Friday (hopefully early) for Reading.


HOWEVER.....

......after re-checking Earl's flight information, it seems we won't be arriving back at Wiley Ford until close to (or perhaps even after) midnight.

That doesn't mean you're not welcome, it just pushes the timeline back a little. I'm assuming that I will be picking up Earl and Tom will be staying home to entertain our "guests". We will probably be getting on the road Friday between 9 a.m. and noon; that's as specific as I can get.

I, personally, would like to get rolling around 9-ish and get to Reading by noon-ish. I will have copies of the directions to Reading for anyone who wants to leave earlier or later than our "convoy". (Time estimates range from 3:12 to 3:22.)

If anyone has FRS radios, bring them -- it saves on roaming charges.

I may stop by for a few hours, but I will be leaving from Frederick on Friday not WV.

It depends on how tired I am after I get back from Georgia.

I would never had thought about bringing an FRS, good idea. I have one that i use mostly when riding with groups on my motorcycle but the headset is in the helmet have to look into that........

I was thinkin that the helmet was a good idea. Pobably better than the radio.
