Am I Idling too low??

hey guys, since I bought my SVX it's been idling pretty low but it hasn't been anything worth screaming about.
The car seems completely fine ilding at this rev
Here's a picture I took after coming home from an hour trip

That's a little low it should be at about 800rpms which is at the line below 1000 rpms.

I've always figured that the bold tic-mark nearest zero denotes approximate idle speed for a warm engine.

If it doesn't stall, it's not a problem.

IIRC that mark is 500RPM. There's really little point in discerning 200 to 300, really.

I believe that the manual said idle should be 600rpm +/- 100, so you're fine (if that's what it says; I'm at work so I can't check it right now).

Mine's idled that low without the AC compressor on since I've owned the car in 2003.

Me too, that thick mark on the tach seems to be the magical spot, until the AC compressor kicks on, when on.

the idle should be 600 with a variance of 100 rpm... 680 is the magic number. That is a normal idle at about 600

Looks just like mine. When the engine is cold it will idle at 900-1000 RPM, warm it will be around 600. It just sits there rumbling away peacefully.
