Aftermarket wheels | SOA Bearing Warranty
Im going to the dealer to get my bearings and hubs replaced this week. I have aftermarket wheels, and am concerned that the dealer will not give me a warranty because of the wheels. Is this a valid concern?
Also, what warranty should i expect from the dealer on this job? -Mike |

Not sure how long the bearings are covered, but I had a right-rear replaced in Jan, and again in May under warranty. Aftermarket wheels the whole time, and no questions asked by the dealership.

Green, I hope you mean bearings and housings (knuckles). The wheels should not matter. 60 days for the warrenty... but bearings SHOULD last forever.

If the offset of the aftermarket wheel were significantly different from that of the OEM, the load on the bearings would be different, which could stress them more.

Yes, bearings and housings. The offset i believe is slightly different, I believe, but the wheels are listed as being a direct replacment for the SVX. I talked to Kevin, the service manager at the dealer this morning. He said 1 year, unlimited miles on the parts and labor. Thats not bad, because I do a lot of driving! Anyway, im just gonna not say anything about the wheels. If they wanna bring it up, then i'll deal with it then. Wish me luck.

Hopefully it won't be an issue for you.
