Competed in the WDCR Practice Event this past Sunday for SCCA members only. It was raining pretty steadily all morning and paused for the afternoon run groups (even though course was still damp/wet). Needless to say, B-stock which was in the 2nd morning heat ran in some of the worse conditions all day...

I'm really 'challenged' driving this RWD car in the wet and it showed. I spun on my first run shortly after the start and again on my third run (my fastest) right after the finish lights. At least it was a non-points practice event! My co-driver Shawn, took the win!

Bill,

That's correct. I've signed up for the season subscription. They're also planning on starting a Pro Solo series this year and I will attend all of those events as well.

I doubt I'll make any AI events at Fedex though. I'm trying to do a full Blue Ridge Region schedule also.

Competed in the Blue Ridge Region's event #2 in Salem, VA yesterday. Temps were in the low 50F range with a cool wond blowing. Course was quite tight in many areas, and speeds rarely got above the 45-50mph range.

B-stock was a three person class (4th driver competed in the Novice group), and I was up against Kevin Smith, a veteran of the sport who I had met 2 years ago when I was still a novice.

Final results were as follows:

LOL! We do it at the sites that allow chalk.

The WDCR courses at Fedex Stadium aren't chalked, so it can be a bit trickier for novices - even though they have a great novice coordinator in Brian Garfield.

Bill,

That lot is relatively flat, but they are some elevation changes. Fedex definitely has some major elevation changes and definitely adds another 'complexity' to figuring out the courses.
