Like Danny says, alcohol may help. Personally, with a background in chemistry, I would only recommend alcohol in moderation and only in the company of friends.

It's a natural depressant so too much and you get one hour's anaesthetic for four hours hangover. A bad deal.

Very seriously, if the darkness is affecting your enjoyment of life, do something about it. Go to a doctor and organise one of those light boxes for yourself. You need to bring up your seratonin levels.

Then, back to pointer #1. Get out more. Enjoy the company of some good friends. Get arrested with Kenneth! That's gotta be one for the memory banks.

Take care man.

So much true... and if alcohol is hard to get because you are living in an "anti-alcohol/fun" country , just bring huge bars of chocolate and start eating them like hell

BTW, change your avatar Noir, it is depressing in itself!

somebody mention "darkness"....?

sounds like Noir has hit some depression...i should know i'm still in it.
i know how it sucks ****..just like you say....work because you have to pay bills...if i dont keep this in mind..i'd only get out of bed to take a piss..
could be winter depression for you...or it could just be out of no reason like me...
the only thing i can suggest if you aren't going to go with medication of any route....actually there is some kind of natural herb somebody has suggested to me...it's called saint john's worts.. that guy has been on it on and off for a while...says it kicks in in about a week..which is faster than the supposed 3 weeks for prescribed anti depressants...
anyways....you need to keep your mind occupied...you could be doing things...but not your mind...if you are luckily enough to have friends as opposed to not having any - like me - go hang out...talk to people..get out..maybe you need something different in life as to the normal routines

If you make the wrong choices, negative things may happen. Not random choices, but those that have been thought out or made with uncommon sense. If you are sitting under a drip, are you going to say that it is there by chance, or are you going to move out from under it? You also need to be with people that are not in the negative frame of mind. They will just bring you down as well.

Just my thoughts.

Earl, you are taking the extreme extreme , I am not saying sit and wait more than live a normal life and being hit suddenly by fort knox.

I am keeping track of my old classmates (school), and I can confidently declare that the worst among us grew to be the most successful

Either an extremely rich girl falling in love with him, or becoming the personal assistant of a wealthy Arabian prince or....

My surrounding as I am observing it right now is according to the percentages I previously declared

Yeh, check out my family, friends, health and general lifestyle, and you tell me that life sucks!

Bzzt!

What's never failed to amaze me is how much many people take for granted.

I have to go get in my super cool car and drive it in America to have a beer with my friends.

of Course life sucks....

But you can't sit around *****ing about it. God knows I have seen my share of crap in my short life but the only way it gets better is (I know this sounds lame)to keep going and make your life better. Life gets you down and you just gotta keep going. If you are feeling down, go talk to someone or even hope in your car and take a drive. Taking a drive makes me feel a lot better.

One thing that I enjoy doing is driving my car like a retard on an empty street. That always helps, but my car is not drivable now...so I put some bills in the fireplace and set them on fire. It was nice to watch them burn. And hey, you have friends here, so it isn't 100% bad. Find humor where ever it can be found, like in diss'n Landshark

Develop a dark sense of humor and laugh at how many people's lives suck worse than your own.
