I WAS going to Epping last night but they canceled due to weather. So it looks like I will run next week.

Drag radials? Do you have FWD? Also, I need to reread some of posts, especially by PoweredX2. Need more information on nitrous and what shot is appropriate (without ECUTune).

Can't wait! Will you be doing the field testing at ATCO? Isn't 2-3 weeks from now essentially when they close for the season?

PoweredX2 has been doing a 2 stage nitrous for quite some time and making some very fast runs without ECUtune.
Personally I wouldn't do it without ECUtune either (I have one of their few NO2 kits) , but if you have a 96 or 97 you don't have a choice yet.

well just got a chance to look at the vid but noticed something a bit off after Tim gave me a heads up

Tells me I am pulling timing even without using my SSM which wasn't working at the time.... Hmmm cannot wait for monday to hear from Whipple. Still trying to figure out why I am the one doing this

It was an interesting convo...

I was kicking back watching the video when i noticed a flash... Then I leaned forward and replayed it a few times..

Me: Tom I think your car's shooting flames.
Tom: Really? Oh crap it is a fireball!
Me: Sweeet!
Tom: No... not sweet.

My BS ghetto tuning assumption is this Tom. Your car is detecting knock due to you running lean air/fuel ratios under a heavy load, at low rpms (start off to 4000rpm). Your car then pulls timing dramatically and continues to pull. You need to either adjust your air/fuel ratios to the 11.5:1 - 12.0:1 range (Especially on the low end), put in race fuel or a combination of both. You need to have constant 11.8:1 air/fuel ratio at WOT throughout the entire powerband.

I believe you adjusted your fueling during a dyno run you did but I don't think the timing was advanced back to where it was previously (or further). Which is why you experienced power loss instead of a gain with the good air/fuel ratios.

Your shifting technique is another story. I am focusing on the power itself and trap speeds here.

So there you have it. I know, I know......you may have already disproved what I am saying now from a post earlier or something. Just what I concluded after some quick reading.
