My car's name is Sue, short for Subaru, I guess its not too creative. People look at me funny when I say I'm in love with a fifteen-year-old black girl named Sue (hence my sig).

Nameing SVX's is a great idea.we named our 2 the day we got our second one

We named the silver one "silver" and the burgundy one "burgundy" ( pretty original, eh??)
This works real well for us because when I tell my wife "this weekend I will be working on "silver", she doesn't have to wast time looking under the burgundy one when she needs to find Me. And next weekend she will do the same when I say I will be working under "burgundy". If she forgets then she will just look for the one on the jack stands, so I suppose it really doesn't matter if we named them or not but we do love the selection of names! Please send us your input! We are open to suggestions for a new name for either or both.

As it says in my sig, I named my car Alice, much like the starter of this thread, but my name comes from a different source.

I named mine after a ship in an episode of Star Trek: Voyager. http://www.startrek.com/startrek/vie...de/108158.html
Thankfully, she hasn't been destroyed in a particle fountain yet though.

It also sounds kind of like Alcyone, so it's vaguely appropriate in that sense too.

The black one doesn't really have a name, but it would either have to be Rusty, since it looks very much like Crazy Pilot's car, or Despair. Or maybe BC - for Basket Case. Or Elsie, like LC, as in Lost Cause

lol. The build date on mine is May 92. You can be have Rusty Senior or Junior depending on you car's age. We even have the same mileage.

I'm pretty sure the build date on mine is late 91, but I could be wrong about that. I'll check later. If there is an Ontario meet someday, we'll have to compare rust spots

...that is if we don't get rid of it by then. Almost traded it in a deal for a 2006 WRX wagon two weeks ago.

Hey kwren, are you guys coming to the NW seafood meet? Maybe the WA SVXers can help name your cars?

help me name my baby

not sure if I should call her 'winnie' or 'peggy' or 'manny' or 'toby' ... 'cause the previous owner lived with her in Winnipeg, Manitoba for many years. I think she was born there. Now she is in Ontario.

maybe just 'winniepeggymannytoby'

My car is not a lost cause! Just because you have a (legitimate, well-earned) grudge against her, it doesn't mean you have to call her bad names.

Yes, the car is rusting a bit, and the driver's side door is completely rotting out, but otherwise she isn't suffering from any major problems...just a bunch of little ones.

So my car's true name is Despair, because I have to let her go (any buyers or traders?), and that makes me sad. The name also originates from the Sandman comics, by Neil Gaiman. Staying with that theme, hopefully her future replacement will be named Dream

Also, an Ontario meet would be really awesome!
