Saw Red, White and Blue SVX pulled over

I was heading back from helping my with my dad's luggage at Newark Airport and I saw something which would not normally be eye peculiar except for one thing. It was on route 78 West right before the route 10 Dover exit I saw police pulled over two tractortrailers and in between the two police was low and behond an SVX. What made it even more peculiar was that the back up the rear window was blue, from that point up to the wheel arches was white and beyond that was red with a diagnal pattern border on the side each color. Two occupants were inside and I driving too fast to see the license plate, not like I would be rude enough to publicly post one online anyway.

Can anyone tell me if this a member's SVX and if so perhaps he could shed some light on how he or his car was caught up in this? It is probably none of my business but I figured it would make an interesting topic. It would have been more interesting if I managed take a picture, but I'm not sure if the owner if registered would have been pleased.

That sounds like an interesting color combination.

Sounds like the late 60s to early 70s AMC Rambler/AMX/Javelin race paint scheme. Here is an image:

Car

Seems like I saw a multicolor one for sale on Ebay several years ago with similar pattern as described--well at least as I understand the description.

I don't ever recall seeing one on here like that.

If you're ever at a library, search out a book called "Cars that never were". It's a book about concept cars that never made it to production from almost any company. They had caddillacs with those v-16s, all sorts of weird stuff. however, my favorite concept, and favorite AMC, was a concept that was ALMOST production ready. From the back edge of the doors, forward, it was a Javelin. From the back edge of the door, back, it was a gremlin.

Here is a linky to a concept car web site where you can look them up alphabetically......

http://www.conceptcarz.com/

Some of the pop-up ads can be a bit annoying.

I'm usually not a big fan of Ford. But, I would take one of these anyday!

The '95 Bugatti Veyron anyone? It's a Ford GT-90 concept car.

I touched that car's mirror once. It said 'do not touch', in huge letters, but nobody was looking, so I did it. Haha!
