Politics suck. The solution is simple: there is none. It's happening, stop trying to figure ways to change it, and start thinking of way to survive it. Perhaps this is how it should be. Sure, the black plague killed millions in europe, but afterwards the money, food, and other resources that had been stretched so thin were then abundant. Overpopulation decreases the over-all living conditions of the general populus.
If the world population went from 6bil to 5bil, due to natural occruances beyond our control, sure you lose people you were fond of, perhaps yourself even, but the fact that it's beyond our control means that you should stop dwelling on it and concentrate on the good that has the potential to come of it. I'm not affraid to die if there's nothing i can do about it, and hte fact that other people around will have a better life makes you feel a bit better about the whole thing. Am i going to step up and say "kill me"? of course not. Look at the folks in the military, potentially giving away their lives to potentially give others a better life.

Mental checklist-
1.Guns-How to protect the rest of this list 2.Ammo- lots of it 3.Water-Not what comes out of the tap either 4.Food-Freeze dried,powdered etc <<yum  5.Fuel-We'll see how this one goes-My feet are low maintenance for the moment 6.Medications-Prescription and "recreational" 7.Clothing-Often overlooked for conditions. 8.Entertainment-This could play into #1 on this list as running targets who steal from you are harder to shoot  Magazines, Battery backup for computer with "selected" DVD's 9. Tools- Also overlooked item, multitools, Axes, Shovels, etc. These are dual purpose-for work or protection. 10. Cash- This tends to be a hard one if society should collapse-paper money is useless(and illegal if you "know the Constitution"Gold, silver,copper,gems barter will be a means of cash. Water does fall into this category i.e. Hurricane Katrina dont need to say anymore about this item. 11.Faith-probably one of if not the most important thing on this list. Humans are very adaptive and creative and in times of crisis the idiots get weeded out and the determined SURVIVE. Open to your suggestions

Tobacco. After the Fall of the Republic, tobacco will become the currency of choice. And if it gets so bad that I have to shoot my starving neighbors to keep grub in my own belly, well, call me what you will, but that's not living.
I don't know, man. The notion that "the idiots get weeded out" in a disaster seems awfully disrespectful to the many thousands of service men and women and millions of innocent civilians who perished, for example, during the second world war. Historically, the fortunate survive catastrophe, natural or man-made, usually as a consequence of pure, dumb luck. And no matter which extreme of the global warming scenario you buy (and typically, it seems there are nothing but extremes), I find it hard to believe that anyone can completely dismiss the fact that human activity has had a profound, cumulative effect on our home planet. We'd all do well to stop politicizing the issue and use our heads for a change. dcb

I dont know but 13 SVXs do weigh alot. Maybe that pole shift thing is caused by this. You should spread them out among other members
