Mine was my 95 AWD SVX and I am the second owner. My mom has always had a subaru legacy of some sort till the tree fell from the front yard and crashed the front, she sold it for nothin to the man down the street and he still drives it! Mom decided she needed a truck so she bought a new nissan frontier.....what a change huh!?

My first Suby was/is the current supercharged, 6-speed SVX. since then I have had 2 other SVXii. Both were purchased for parts. The first only need a tranny and some wheel bearings, so I converted it using a 92 Legacy 5-speed. The second was smack pretty bad. Many parts from it have help other cars stay on the road.

My first Subaru was a 1971 FF1, 2 door Sports Sedan. I purchased the car specifically to race it in a production series of circuit races held over the summer 1971/72. The championship was won with the car, in a convincing manner.

The car was then used by my wife, as the family daily driver, for several years, until the 2 door arrangement became a problem for the then larger children. It was retired into storage, as regarded as the best and most logical design I had/have owned.

The FF1 is now restored and in the hands of my son, who used to travel to the races it won, in a rear baby seat. The seat stayed in the car during races, much to the chagrin of other competitors, many having brought their car to races on a trailer.

Our first was a Blue 83 GL Wagon (Bluburu) 4-spd with the Hi-Lo that felt like it would climb a vertical wall in Lo-range. Brush bar and fogs on the front. Bought it after spending an unbelievable week in Mar of 83 at North Tahoe pushing/chaining/shoveling our way in and out of a ski cabin 1000ft above the lake. Did I mention skiing and drinking? She looked especially sweet with a set of 8-spoke PanaSport rims.
Replaced her with a 91 LS 5-spd Wagon (Nuburu). Sold her to a young snoreboarder that ran her up and down the hill til a crash ended her life. Fond memories of that little hummer. Never broke or let us down in any way.

My first Subaru was a 1993 Legacy L AWD wagon. It proved to be the best all-around car I have ever owned - and it sold me on Subarus for life. I finally sold it to a co-worker in 2004 just before it hit the 200,000 mile mark. I think it has over 250,000 on it now and is still driven to work daily.

Mine was a 1989 Sherpa, 2 cylinders, 2 doors (classed as a light van), absolute power house with 600cc capacity, i still have it as a spare car, and so far it has been most reliable car i have ever owned (in cluding the svx )

My 1st Subaru was a 1986 XT Turbo 5SP. Had 238,000 on the clock when I gave her to charity, using every psi of the turbo on the way to the dropoff!

My first was a 1979 subaru DL 4x4 wagon. I got it back in about 1990 for $500 sitting in the back lot of a Hyundai dealer. I was 14 (a month before I turned 15) at the time which is good b/c it needed a little TLC before it went on the road. My newest subaru is my baja and it is subaru # 21 to date.

I'm looking for a gto or maybe cts-v when I get home. I don't forsee another Subaru ever being in my garage again, the way they're heading.

Yeah, if it was anything like my '86, you also had to give it gas in 4WD-low to descend a vertical wall.
