My RED '97 has gold pinstripes, and personally, I like them. But, as stated earlier, it is a personal like / dislike. If you do remove them, do pay attention (as mentioned earlier) as to how they are removed. Do so very carefully. Use a hair dryer. But I suspect that if they were put on in '92, you will have a difference in color under the stripe. Of course, that could be rather cool in itself!

But remember, it is YOU that has to live with the car day to day! If you are not happy with the pin stripes now, I doubt you will "get use to them".

I have seen some that are fine, but others don't look so good. It depends on the color.

The body color is Dark Teal.

The stripes are white. Black I could deal with.

They're coming off if possible.

That color combination is not very good. I could deal with another color, but white would be too much contrast.

Talking

I love my Pep Boys self-applied gold pinstripes on my once semi-pristine ebony.

So there.

Ron.

I have cheap pinstripes on my pearlie as it was purchased that way to cover up nasty see through areas in my doors….I aim to get some nice doors so I can take off the pinstripes until then they do serve a purpose….lol

You will drive by within 15 miles of me in New Mexico. I suspect if you did not make it already, you may be having some problems with the snow south out of CO and all the way to nearly Santa Fe.

Well I picked up the car today and here are the facts.

#1 The stripe color is actually a metallic silver (much better than white).

#2 They are painted on.

#3 Until I repaint it... the stripes stay.

That's not exactly what I want but hey right now I'm just stoked I can even drive a car this cool.

A side note that Ihopp77 mentioned. The weather here on this continent sucks right now (at least for the most part). To pick up my car I had to drive my mom's 93 T-Bird west on I-70 over at least 100 miles of icy, snowpacked road (the other 135 miles were fine). Not a lot of fun in a rear wheel drive, (fairly) high horsepowered vehicle. At least the thing has great snow tires... otherwise I wouldn't have attempted it.
