Are some of these true SVX problems?

While searching around the internet, onc all things SVX to be specific and Google to be even more, I stumbled across this article published by a transmission and general auto repair shop outlining potential problems with certain parts for early SVXs that need to be check as well as replaced with later iterations.

Most of these problems are concerning the transmission so they could be genuine or are they overblown and possibly fabricated in order for this shop to make more money off of us SVX owners?

For general info, I post it again, we have Pathfinder and Mazda internals in our transmission. Even the brake band.

The first four items in that article are things Subaru presumably did to address early transmission failures. Conventional SVX wisdom suggests that an inline filter and ATF cooler are good ideas, leaving only two suggested technical items for work to be performed at reman. They lost me there.

Hang out here for long, or peruse eBay and AutoTrader SVX ads, and it becomes abundantly clear that transmission shops needn't do a thing to make more money off SVX owners.
