A Little Under 12 Hours...
...and, I'm back home again. Haven't checked the mileage numbers yet, but, it'll be interesting to see what a 13 year old car with 238K miles on the original engine is now getting in gas mileage.
Too tired to post -- gotta go to bed so's I can go to work in the morning. I usually take a "recovery day," but had too much to do do this week. As always, it was great to see everyone. Nice to meet new folks. I'll probably post more thoughts when I can get my tihs together. Hey, Larry. Can you spell the **** in Vanilla?

FINALLY! Time to take a breath and talk about the Reading Meet.
It was all such a blur! It was the worst Reading Meet EVER! Weatherwise. Otherwise, it was one of the BEST ever. The rain helped keep people close together (Whether under the canopy or in "da bah") and allowed everyone to get more "face time." Meeting Uncamitzi was a treat. It was like we'd known each other forever, yet, we'd only met through the ether. Of course, it's always great meeting up with "the gang" that you only see once a year -- it's really a damn sight better than Santa Claus. A big thanks to Hocrest and his family at Cafe 110 -- great dinner! Even if I did have to sit by myself. Thanks to all the others who helped with arrangements: Svxcess for dealing with the hotel, "Da Two Toms" for their work in the parking lot and everybody who attended! A special thank you to Bobb, who was not there in person, but was there in spirit. He sent a door prize last year that wasn't given and another this year. You'll be happy to know both were awarded this year. I kind of "stealthily" chose recipients based on genuine NEED. Jerry Jenkins (a first timer this year) keeps his car in pristine condition -- and since all others who do (that I secretly scoped out) already had this item and Jerry didn't, he was awarded the Genuine SVX Car Cover. Providence led me to Uncamitzi for the second prize -- he was the only person I noticed that was truly complaining about the effectiveness of his windshield wipers during the meet. Therefore, before I left on Sunday Morning, I awarded him a full, three-piece set of genuine SVX Windshield wipers -- complete with rubber bumpers on the fronts and the unique offset (ever wonder why your rear wiper keeps hitting the bottom of the rear glass?) on the rear. Congratulations to the recipients and, again, thanks to Bobb. Even with nearly 240K on the clock, "Patience" got an average of 28 MPG on the road. The same mileage as I calculated at Reading I. Cool, huh? All in all, a great trip -- just wish it could've lasted longer. Thanks again to everyone. See y's next year!

Randy, nice to know you're back safe. Just read this post. Haven't got a lot of times to browse...
How about color-wise? Did you get the best color this year? I haven't got a good times to upload the pics to my notebook...I may post here later that that's one you and me with my yellow coupe....& few nice shots from the back of yours and mine...^ Your mpg is great. I got around 22mpg for the trips...well from the 4.44 gearing tranny and I was addicted to doing like 85-90mph. Maybe not too bad. I could get a few, few miles more mpg if I kept at speed limit.
