Auxiliary Power Unit:
The little motor they use to start the big motor.

Large ships and aircraft often have them. Frequently the big motors are used exclusively to drive the ship and the only source of onboard power for everything else comes from the APU. When in port, often the APU is kept running. Sometimes they drive things other than electrical generators, such as hydraulic pumps, and bilge pumps.

Big jobs, for big mechanics.

I have a brother in law, that an ships engineer for Loyds Register, his job is to go out to orginise the repairs for motors like that.
There was one in Newcastle with a twisted crank, prop hit a whale. They brought all the gear from Sweden, and I watched as they twisted it back with huge rams in the cylinders. An experence I won't forget.

no replacement for no license plate

Still havent got my license plate back yet 15 mailing days later ...... did it go via turtle mail ?

I got a package from California in 4 days whats up?

The guy I traded my SVX to started the post

I know he would get the response on here so I posted it here

I think my plate vanished someplace between VA and NY in the mail its been since the 26th of november and I didnt get them yet

But now he's got another issue as the tranny on the SVX went
