Arrow Update: Buck Jones Is A Fraud

Hey Guys, Its official, Buck Jones is a fraud. After speaking to him on Friday afternoon Nov. 25th, he said he had injured his back and had not had the shop open for over two weeks, I believe thats why when Matt Mongan went to his place Delmar Auto Parts on 8997-8999 BiState Blvd, Delmar, MD., no one was there. Anyway on Friday he told me that he had his goons pull the parts I had asked for and that he had promised me, and that he was going to check his PO Box on Monday 11/28 to see if my "clear title" had come in and to call him. Well on Monday I checked my mail, and to no surprise, he sent me the same Salvaged Title back, that I had sent him on 10/26. Also I did some checking on him, and to no ones surprise, his real name appears not to be Buck Jones, or Buck Rogers for that matter. His business phone number is listed under the name of T. Lewis, and he had told me that he lived in Denton, MD., and my further investigating shows that there is only one T. Lewis listed in the residential file in Denton, MD. and that persons name is Tanya Lewis, which could be his wife. Now last week, I tracked down M Gordon Auto Sales, which is the sellers name listed on the Title and Bill of Sale, if you guys recall that I had posted a while ago. M Gordon Auto Sales, relocated from Shippensburg, PA. to Chambersburg, PA. over a year ago, according to the proprietor Jim Gordon. I spoke to Jim Gordon on Friday Nov. 25th, about a half hour before I spoke to Buck Jones, aka T. Lewis. Jim Gordon told me that he has nothing to do with the 96 Lsi that I bought on ebay from Buck Jones aka T.Lewis, and that he is a fraud. He went on to say that Buck Jones aka T.Lewis has fraudently used his business name in the past to sell vehicles, and that he thought that they had shut him down, but in his words, "I thought we shut that clown down, but I guess not". Now I asked JIm Gordon for his cooperation and assistance with this case, and he asked me to email or fax him the bill of sale, and title to him, and that he was going to the Maryland State Police. He seemed pretty upset, but there was a part of me that felt as if Jim Gordon and Buck Jones have something going together. Probably not, but I just cant get that feeling out of my system. I have not heard from or spoken to M Gordon or Buck Jones aka T.Lewis since last friday the 25th. I contacted ebay again, and they suggested that I contact the http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp Internet fraud hotline. I did and filed a complaint with them, ebay also suggested that I contact my local police dept, and the local police in Delmar, MD. I just wanted to update you guys on this never ending dilemma. Buck Jones, aka T.Lewis needs to be brought to justice. I wish I was friends with DOG the bounty hunter, one look at him and his posse at Bucks front door, and I bet hed come clean. I should be so lucky. So now I am stuck with this 96 Lsi, a month since I got it, and still cant register it. I am so damn mad, and fed up with all this B.S. Thanks guys for all your caring, suggestions, and just being there. I am at wits end with this, and my wife is pretty P. offed, and I dont blame her one bit.

Sorry to hear, but not really surprised

Follow the suggestions from EBay and the board before and report it to anybody that will listen. Hopefully one of the agencies will proceed with it and start an investigation.

I'm sorry to hear as well. I thought Ebay has a buy back guarantee on all autos up to 20K?

Arrow Ebay Buy Back Protection Yeah Right

EBAYs buy back $20k guarantee needs some revisions. They say that they do not cover salvaged titles. Now, the seller claimed in his auction that the svx had one time salvage history, but that it now has a clear title. Ebay should require proof from the seller (scan of title to ebay) of any vehicle that has had salvage history, and is being attempted to be sold as having a clear title. I obviously got burned. I do partially blame myself, as I should have never wired the idiot the money before seeing the clear title. Sure, he gets his money, then he emails me a salvaged title, after claiming that it had a clear title. My advice, dont buy a vehicle that has had any salvage history, unless you plan on using it for parts.

Good luck Dan. You may just end up having to replace the airbags and get a rebuilt title. You can't get one without it. For the sake of being redundant... No salvage title will ever end up as a clear title legally. I'm sure someone here has a pair of airbags to let go at a reasonable price.

Exclamation Anyone here live near Chambersburg, PA?

Are there any members in that area? I would ask if you could check this place out and give Jim Gordon the twice over. It would be nice to let Jim Gordon (of M.Gordon Auto Sales) know that Dan Mancini has considerable support on his side from the Network.

If a couple of network members were to drop in on him, and say what's the story with Dan Mancini's title, that should get him moving rather quickly.

Here is the link to his website:
http://www.carpeople.us/index.php

I have talked to Dan extensively by phone and really feel his frustration on this. Hopefully PA will allow him to get a clear title so that he can begin to enjoy his new car. Let's try to see if we can make Dan's Christmas just a little brighter. His present is here, already unwrapped... but he can't really play with it.

I'd like to check it out, but its about 100 miles each way (about the same distance to Reading) Maybe an impromptu mini-meet is in order

Need to bump this thread to the top.

The latest short version is that Jim Gordon (owner of M. Gordon Auto sales in PA) is now trying to get the MD salvage title retitled in the District of Columbia.

Again, anyone near Chambersburg, PA?

I live about a stone's throw away from Chambersburg. I would be able to help you out..depending on what needs done (I'm a little under 18 so...)

Why don't you declare the car abandoned and register it that way? (IE, report it to the dmv as abandoned by its previous owner)

'Cleaning' a title through a state which allows it is hardly the most honest of practices, and anybody who tells you he's done it to a car he's trying to sell you is someone to be avoided.

Now, I'd buy a salvage-titled car in some circumstances. My mom has a CR-V with a salvage title and it's a fine car. She doesn't expect to resell it any time soon so the title is of little consequence.

But I'd never try to 'clean' the title. You can't even do it in most states.

I took interest in this when the complaint came out, and I couldn't find even one state that allows a clear title out of a salvage. And I don't think they should. It's dishonest. And my 92...thanks to some 17 year old with a cell phone, has a rebuilt title. I wouldn't even think of 'clearing" that title. Yeah, I went through the pain of rebuilt so I could register it again. But a clear title? It's just flat out dishonest.

now why would Jim Gordon who stated that he had no involvement with the sale of this car and T. Lewis/Buck Jones try to 'clear' a salvaged title?

how did Buck Jones get the title and car from M. Gordon Auto Sales in the first place if the car wasn't sold to him or if he wasn't brokering the car on behalf of M. Gordon Auto Sales? do you know if these jokers are selling other vehicles on ebay?

i honestly hope he didn't send this the original bill of sale and the title without keeping a copy. Dan may have to bite the bullet and see what his options ($$$) are to get the car registered. i think he should talk to a lawyer to see if he can recoup the money spent to get the car registered.

Dan could always sell it if he get it registered it in CT. good luck mang.
