car in shop...nice loaner.

As I've said before, Van Bortel Subaru, in Victor, NY. treats their customers right! They are afterall, the largest Subaru dealer in the country.
I dropped off my car for a few things, (clutch pack, O2 sensor, right axle) and this time I was given a brand-new Legacy ('05) with that funky paddle-shifter. What a waste on a four-cylinder car! It helped in traffic I guess, since the dealer is 50 mins. away...all highway...always rush hour.
That car is tight and smooth, very impressive: I'm proud of Subaru. The drive there was much more enjoyable in the SVX though!

That last sentence fixed your statement... I thought you were drifting towards the other subies...

The SVX was the best car Subaru ever made. Others may outperform it, but nothing has quite the look or feel as the SVX.

Rest easy with your svx at van bortel. My family has bought and serviced many subarus there and they are good honest people. They stand behind their service.

They must know the longer I drive around this Legacy, the more apt I will be to buy something else and move on; the service dude said, "you SVX owners go to great lengths to keep these cars running, we know and understand."
I swear I saw dollar bill signs in his eyes though. I'm passing for now on the difficult to reach 02 sensor...I need new tires!

They put at least 4 timing belts in my little red wagon. Imagine the looks on their faces when that thing kept dragging in to their shop.

I drove it in once with only rear wheel drive expecting to pay for a new tranny. Could have kissed the service guy when it was only a front CV shaft.
