Door latch switch
Has anyone actually replaced the whole lock/latch deal or take it apart to repair it? I'm assuming the contacts inside the actual micro-switch needs to replaced or cleaned but damn if I can get to it easily. The FSM does a piss poor job of showing how to remove this biatch
In order to remove this thing, I was hoping to simply remove the three phillips on the door edge, one 10 mm on the inside of the door and disconnect the linkages. Am I missing anything else? Thanks.

I got the latch out. Three phillips and one 10mm as I stated before is all you need to remove. I don't see how to take this thing apart to service it. So, back it goes and I'll wait till I can buy a used one. Attached are two pics for your amusement.
Now, off to the next problem: driver window motor doesn't work Good night all. I'm done for today!

So what exactly is the problem with your lock/latch? Are you sure that you have a problem with the PW motor and not the switch? The driver side switch is notorious for failing, especially after the plastic weakens and cracks over the years.

The power window is fixed. I don't exactly know what I did but everything is operational. It must be inside the master control panel because I'm unable to control the rear windows remotely. No biggie.
The door latch switch issue is fixed. It wasn't very technical I'm afraid! The connector in the driver kick panel came apart somehow this is why the seat belt wouldn't work properly. Thanks. Ali '92
