Am buying the 92 in Newport Beach....

My son went an test drove it this afternoon. Radiator was replaced recently, the rubber is excellent, the trans was replaced a year ago (has receipts), a WRX 6-disc cd changer, very very mild wear on the leather driver seat....

Yeah, I bought this for my 22 year old son who thinks a nice car is a mod VW scirocco....what a joke.

He's in the Navy and just had a rank promotion, I told him how important it was for his CO's to know he's sorta level headed and appreciates the finer things in life as this is his career choice.

How much finer than a SVX?????

ANyway, still drooling over the yellow in Pittsburgh and going over my books and bank accounts......it could be a business expense right?

Thanks for the support Mom. My idea of a car that I paid $1000 for is my idea of a daily driver. But now I have my SVX and project VW.

Sounds about right. He had told me he got the new tranny and such in AZ. I also really like the cooling setup on the tranny. Many new parts? Do tell... lol The car is sweet as all hell.

I asked him for all the paper work and what not yesterday when I went to look at the car. I'm just bummed I have to wait a week to pick her up and bring her home. Oh, nice web site by the way. Might be putting in some orders in the near future

No worries. It's nice we're finally getting along, lol I'm sure the SVX will get much good use here in Cali. Might not get the twistys I'd like but it'll def hit some high speeds and stretch its legs out.

Hey now, the Scirocco is a nice car, it also was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, (the mk 1 anyhow). I started my Giugiaro obsession with one.

Same things are said on the euro forums about this car. Both are great cars if treated well and done nicely. There is nothing wrong with an 84 MK2 8V. Esp one that was barely driven and is a Cali car. Now only if I could find an XT6 with a 5spd...
