Problems with alarm

I have an OE alarm, including the Subaru fob. My alarm, when being armed, has always honked once, lights blinking once as well; and honked twice when being unarmed, light also. The other day when I armed it, the lights didn't blink at all, and it honked four times or so. It also does the same when being unarmed. It still locks and unlocks the car. What would cause this? And could I change it back?

My guess is you accidenlty pushed the security(alarm) button that you didn't know. The security button is pressable.

If my guess is right, solution:

Just go press the "security button" once. Solve!! (back to alarm mode)

Just that you are at keyless entry mode w/o no alarm activated.

Your alarm is still normal.

Let me know if my guess is correct.

mine does sometihng similar if i sit in it with they keys running jsut the stereo..... it arms itself anytime the doors are closed and the engine isnt running... usually after about 90 seconds...if it arms itself that way itll arm and unarm without sound at all... itll reactivate sound arming if this is repeated.

usually i get one beep for lock and 2 for unlock though on occasion i get 4 beeps or 3 beeps if the doors are open and i arm it or if the lights are on or something its liek a warning to recheck your stuff

mine has an aftermarket key remote though

Yes, you were correct, not sure if I pressed it or what, but I just pressed the main on/off twice, now it works as before. Thanks.
