I'd really love revenge against the blue jays from 93. That world series broke my heart for so long. I cried for days...what a way to have it end too...on a home run in the 9th inning of game 6. I was only 9 at the time.

I always like the Blue Jays. My favoritism has bounced back and forth from Toronto to Baltimore. My wife was a Phillies fan and I was a Blue Jays fan during the 93 series. We worked together but hadn't started dating yet. We were 22 during that series.

. Now if the nationals can just lose a game sometime in the near future we might take first

. And what a debut for urbina....giving up some walks and 6 RUNS...we were wup 10-2 or something and we won it 10-8...woulda been a nice night off for wagner but he had to come in for the save.

You know im really getting sick of hearing larry bowa talk about the phillies on baseball tonight. That bastard needs to shut his damn face. When the phills were losing he never bashed them and was kinda sympathetic....and now that were winning he doesnt give them credit where its due. What a bitter POS...he got canned 10 months ago ....live with it!!...David bell hit a walk off home run last night....and people aren't giving him enough respect for it because its a small ball park we have in philly and apparently it would just be a fly ball in 90 percent of the other parks....but no one says anything about right field in yankee stadium....or fen way park or wrigley field or houston for that matter.

Even with the smaller ballparks, homeruns are down. Aol asked why, and it's simple. Everyone is afraid to get nailed on performance enhancers. As for baseball itself, it's a special year for Baltimore. If they can make the series, it will be the first time in a long time if not ever, that two players with over 500 home runs will play in the series on the same team. Sosa and Palmiero are both in the top 10 alltime.

Would be the first time since 1983 i believe....cal ripken cought the last out against my phillies in philadelphia and u guys celebrated on our field

..painfull. But yea i feel the same way about the phillies....this teams is almost like the 93 team that went to the world series....feels magical

Baltimore's last series was 1983, but the part about two 500 home run players is very, very rare.

You know that is really rare...i didnt even realize that untill now. Look at the 1980 phillies and how many hall of famers were on that squad. I can count 4 right off the bat.

They were talking on Baseball Tonight about the possibility of Roy Halladay being available at the trade deadline. If Baltimore could pick him up, they could realisticly be in the series. He is one of the top 3 pitchers in the AL.
