new noise
So, I've been having a buzzing during acceleration. Haven't found an exhaust leak despite part swapping and testing. So, could be something else...seems load related.
Now, recently, the engine will go clak clak clak clakitty clak clak clakittly and so on and so forth only if the climate control is OFF and the engine is at idle. Not sure why this is, and not sure if it's related to the first noise or not. It's really wierd. I can hear the noise more clearly by listening near the passenger side front wheel rather than by popping the hood. If I pop the hood, all the normal noises drown out the clak. Kinda seems to be RMP related...when the engine bumps up the RPMs for the climate control, then the noise goes away. Any ideas?

Well that sounds as best I can tell as though it may be the flexplate. I gue sthe light torque load change is enough to open the cracks so the noise goes away. However, you may want to check the engine bay and flexplate area just to make sure there is nothing touching any rotating parts.
