Thumbs up A plug for Mr. Clean.

I know - we had a discussion about this product a month or so ago, but I finally found one for 19 bucks at Target a few weeks ago, & the weather finally got nice enough for me to whip out my hose. The garden hose, that is. I'm a skeptic of most new cleaning products, as most are a re-config of what's been done 1000 times before. I first washed the other SVX, the S[240]X. Hmmmm...this is easy. I then did the ebony mica water spot special SVX. Wow! I must say I wish I had invented this system, but too late again. Absolutely gorgeous, folks. I'm now afraid to find out how much the "special" soap will set me back. Nonetheless, it's gotta be less than the local car wash.
Overall, it's two thumbs & a pinky up for Mr. Clean.

Ron.

Speaking of soap stuff, Larry, do you remember a couple of the '40s & 50's products that put the term "soap opera" in the vernacular?

Ron (for recycled suds contact Ripimoff Industries).

Sounds like a good deal to me.

To Rondo Slade...The Masked Announcer/Salesman,

Do you also have a young 'loverly' assistant equivalent to Carol Wayne, "The Matinee Lady"?

I beieve that they were laundry detergents and officially classified as "Soap Powders."
My memory, which doesn't serve me too well anymore recalls, Ivory Snow (Is Marilyn Chambers really behind the green door ?), All, and Tide. I think that Proctor & Gamble still owns Cincinatti.
My mom had a Bendix washer (in real porcelain enamel) and the dryer was the clothesline.

Firstly. I always suspected that Johnnie & Carol had something going besides an occasional trip to "The fork in the road". Somehow I think the facts surrounding her untimely & puzzling death are forever sealed (hermetically) in the Funk & Wagnalls jar.

Secondly, I'm sure Ivory Snow had a spot on some show, but I had in mind three others from radio shows, one of which had a jingle whose tune I still have imbedded in my grey matter hard drive.

Thirdly - our family was on the bleeding edge of washer hi-tech in the late '40s. Remember the Easy Washer? It was a roll-about that incorporated a "Spin Dryer" opposite the wash tub. We still had to bring out the clothes pins, however. Remember "clothes poles"?

More outdated trivia from Ronco.

It is INDEED a good deal, Earl. But I plan to package the used bubbles in little packets like Handi-wipes. That way the contents can be emptied into a glass of water, & viola! - Fresh used bubbles.

Ron (yeah - "e-bay bubbles" - that's the ticket)!

I think you may just have found the current generation's pet rock.

Locally, the filter & soap refills are 4.97 each, supposedly good for 5 washes each. That's $2 per wash after amortizing the initial purchase - same kind of deal they give you for things like playstation (should be paystation), initial purchase isn't bad, but then once you're hooked....

Hi Ron, I think "Ivory Snow" would be on your list. Take care, BOBB

No, but Marilyn Chambers is.

Doesn't any old timer remember the other soaps?

No, Lifebuoy & Lava don't count - they were bars, not powders.

Ron ("you'll wonder where the yellow went, when you.......").

Bingo on one, Dan. (I wonder what Duz REALLY did?)

Two more - no, Bobb, not Oxydol or Dreft (Wasn't Dreft a dishwashing product?)

Ron ("........., a little dab'll do 'ya).
