I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

*sniff*.....I have bug-eye lights.....

I always liked the bug-eyes better because the new ones look to much like the legacy. But every person is different.

Pimp ride though solar.

I gotta agree with Alan and Arthur on this one. I hated the MY01 when it debuted, but it quickly became my favorite Subaru, after the SVX. To me, it just looks more aggresive than the other Imprezas. I just can't brag because I don't have one...yet.

actually i think the newer ones are more 'aggressive' looking, but the '02-'03's are more Porsche-like.

The "Baby 911" effect. 2/3 the cylinders and HP for less than half the price. Understandable.

I think a better way to explain why I think the MY01 looks better than the MY03 is that it depends on the model and specific options. First, I agree that the MY03 resembles the Legacy too much, which although I do like the current Legacy (I own one after all), it just brings my view of the styling down a notch or two. And with the standard USDM WRX, the itty bitty fogs just totally ruin the entire rally image of the car, which is the other main reason I don't care for the styling (at least here) as much as the old one. And, STi rally spoiler not withstanding, I think the MY01 with the factory ground effects kit and unorthadox styling looks as good or better than the current STi. But, thats just my $0.02. Don't get me wrong, though, I love the looks of all the Imprezas, and I'm quite happy for solar for trading his SVX for something else he really wanted.

2004 all the way...not so sure about the sedan ...but 2004!

http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/files/Kurt_W/14025.jpg

I'm kinda leaving mine alone for now and its gone into reclusion with the SVX for the winter. Fun cars to own. Not always fond of the shifter though.

As for the looks, I always liked the WRX since it came out here, but the bugeye look didn't do it for me. The only bugeye I liked was the yellow 03 wagons, and even then, after the 04's came out, I didn't like the bugeyes enough to buy one. To me the 04's look more aggressive, if not a little droopy.

I don't like the stock bug-eyes but I saw some aftermarket ones that were like carbon fiber, those I liked

Too bad I don't have enough money to buy one

Impreza

I love the Impreza!

Wish you a nice ride with yours.

Maybe I will buy one in about 5 years, if they are still produced then.

Happy New Year

Greetings from Austria

well i am not a big fan on the bug eye look,, we all have our prefrences, there the same breed thats all that matters LOL

as for price there isnt much in that range for other cars that offers AWD and turbo at that cost

i basicaly bought it for price,, AWD and turbo as for looks all the imprezzas look boxy and square to me, the svx was awsome looking

with lots of work,"rims" lowered:" and all they all look decent no matter what year,,,

this is what body kit im looking to buy for it
